A hack is a “novel creation or solution to a problem”, and the purpose of a hackathon is to generate solutions to a problem or situation.
Problem Statement : To develop a solution, which will
improve / enhance the existing
technology in
the following fields of:
1) FinTech
2) EdTech
3) Fitness
4) Healthcare
5) Smart City
The solution can be:
1) Web / App based
2) A working AI - ML / IoT model
3) Web3.0 based
You have time limit of 48 hrs. This will be an ONLINE hackathon, so students from all over state can participate.
Rules and regulations:
‣ Members in a team: There should be 3 to 4 members in each team. The team leader or any one member from the team should fill the registration form with proper details of all the members.
‣ Code submission: Every team must start out by making a GitHub repository, which can be private or public, depending on the team’s choice. Only after the inauguration of the hackathon, can a team member commit code onto their repository, any code submitted before, would not be considered for evaluation. As soon as the hackathon ends, all teams should compulsorily make their repositories public, and any code committed after the deadline would again not be considered. At the end, a google form would be provided, wherein the Team Leader should fill in all necessary details, including the GitHub repository link.
‣ Video tutorial: The resulting output/outcome of your code should be video recorded and be uploaded on the drive. The Google Drive Link will be shared after the start of the hackathon.
‣ Malpractice: Any team indulging in any malpractice or plagiarism of code, would disqualified straight away from the hackathon.
‣ Presentation: Top 5 teams will have to prepare a presentation and explain the working of their code and the ideation behind it, to the audience and the panel of judges in OFFLINE mode at VIIT Campus .
‣ Winners: Out of the 5 teams presenting, the panel of judges will select the top 3 teams, and these teams would be considered as the winners of the hackathon.
‣ Prize pool: The prize pool is of 16k. Winner will get 7k , 1st runner up will get 5k and 2nd runner up will get 3k. Consolation prize of 1k. All participating teams would be provided with a certificate.
‣ Date and Time: Hackathon will start at 25th Sept 12 PM and end at 27th Sept 11:59 AM .
